Senegalese player brings USL Championship experience to Fuego FC
FRESNO, Calif. – Central Valley Fuego FC today announced it has signed Cherif Dieye as the club builds its roster for its inaugural 2022 USL League One season. The signing is pending league and federation approval.
A native of Dakar, Senegal, Dieye joins Fuego FC after completing one season with USL Championship side New York Red Bulls II.

Collegiately, Dieye competed four seasons for the Louisville Cardinals and recorded 80 appearances and 19 goals. He was named to the 2019 All-ACC Second Team and 2018 ACC Championship All-Tournament Team. Dieye spent two years training with IMG Academy between 2013 and 2015.
