CHILEAN DEFENDER JOINS FUEGO FC AFTER SUCCESSFUL SEASON WITH FC TUCSON
FRESNO, Calif. – Central Valley Fuego FC announced on Thursday it has signed defender Maxi Schenfeld as the club builds its roster for its inaugural 2022 USL League One season. The signing is pending league and federation approval.
Born to Chilean and Argentine parents, the Copiapó, Chile native joins Fuego FC after a successful season with fellow League One side FC Tucson last season. Schenfeld made 26 appearances a season ago, leading FC Tucson to the semifinals of the USL League One Playoffs. Previously, Schenfeld has appeared for NPSL side Miami Fusion FC and then NISA club Miami FC.
Collegiately, Schenfeld competed for Miami National University earning the 2018 National Championship USCAA. In 2015 Schenfeld was named All-American with Florida Memorial University in NAIA.
Schenfeld made his professional debut at 19 years old with Fútbol Club Ferro Carril Sud de Olavarria in Argentinian league on loan from Platense.
