Fuego FC creates a developmental program created to identify and develop local talent
FRESNO, CA – Central Valley Fuego Fútbol Club is proud to announce the commencement of their first-ever Regional Training Center Program. The RTC program is a developmental program created to identify and develop future Fuego FC Academy players. Registration is now open for players born between 2004- 2007.
The Fuego FC Regional Training Center Program is run by the Fuego FC’s sporting department and partnered with youth organizations throughout the North, Central and the South Valley corridor. There are currently three Regional Training Centers located in Merced, Fresno and Bakersfield with the goal of identifying talented players across the state while offering additional training to these players with high-level coaching, sports psychology, performance training and nutrition.
“I am very excited for this announcement of Fuego FC’s Regional Training Center (RTC). These training centers will provide a platform for elite players in the Valley to showcase and make their first steps on the professional pathway,” said Sporting Director Adam Smith. “Through the RTC’s, Fuego FC will be able to select its first Academy team to compete in the USL Academy Cup 2023. What is even better is that players will not have to travel nonsensical distances, or leave their current youth club team in order to take part. Fuego FC will be able to give these players opportunities not previously seen in the Valley. It is a win-win for everybody!”
