The interim Head Coach, Adam Smith, has chosen to gracefully step down from his day-to-day responsibilities at the helm of the First Team. This decision allows him to refocus his efforts and expertise in his capacity as the Club’s Sporting Director. Smith’s continued involvement in this capacity will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization and nurturing the complete player pathway to the highly esteemed USL League One professional tier.

Smith will be tasked with establishing a full time academy structure, with first team player recruitment responsibilities, scouting youth talent within the valley, and will be engaging the international transaction market within Europe, as well as growing the youth affiliate program to include a robust network of affiliates in all seven counties where the Club’s territory lies. This includes establishing international sporting alliances, and also managing corporate partnership responsibilities locally.
Stepping into the role of Interim Head Coach will be Assistant Coach Edison Gonzalez, whose expanded responsibilities will ensure a seamless continuity of the coaching regimen during this period of transition. Additionally, Central Valley Fuego FC has openly initiated the comprehensive search for a full-time Football Manager throughout the upcoming off-season of 2023/24. This strategic pursuit underscores the Club’s commitment to securing top-tier leadership to further elevate its competitive prowess.
